History

Since its inception in 1997, Tasting Australia has become one of the country’s most influential and best attended culinary festivals.

The biennial event, which attracts some 50,000 people, is the perfect opportunity for food and drink professionals, the world’s food, drink and travel media, and the public to enjoy the best that the nation has to offer in produce, food products, wines and beers, and hospitality and tourism.

Festival-goers will be front and centre at the South Australia’s biggest gastronomic festival, with a special focus on youth activities, regional experiences and the arts, which will be served up with an amazing range of hands-on experiences for food lovers of all ages.

Tasting Australia is also the nation’s premium provider of networking opportunities for anyone with an interest in fine foods and beverages.

The event is owned is owned and managed by the South Australian Tourism Commission, through its events arm, Events South Australia.
