Diamond, Paul

Publisher of Australia’s largest food and wine magazine Selector, Paul has been working with food and wine for 15 years.
Paul’s passion for food started in the early 90’s when working in and managing some of London’s (then) best restaurants; Bibendum, Quaglinos and Mezzo. It was while working for the Conran group that Paul developed a love for wine that led him to travel throughout Europe absorbing all things vinous. Before returning to Australia, Paul left the Conran group to be part of the opening management team of the Avenue restaurant where he continued to study wine.
Upon returning to Australia Paul completed a Bachelor of Journalism and started communicating about food and wine contributing to books, magazines and newspapers. Whilst working as a Sommelier in Sydney Paul continued his communication studies and after completing a media cadetship at the University of NSW. Upon completion of these studies he began working with magazines full time and developed a passion for the Australian food and wine media.
As publisher of Selector, Paul continues to write about food, wine and travel as well as authoring and publishing food and wine related projects. Paul continues to feed his passion for wine by judging, presenting and educating about wine as often as possible. To that end he was named as one of the industry’s “Young Guns” by the Wine Communicators Of Australia in 2008.
Paul is passionate about the development of the wine and food culture in Australia and bridging the gap between both elements for the next generation.
Dobbin, Winsor

Winsor Dobbin has been a journalist for over 30 years, during which he has been based in cities as diverse as London, Paris, Johannesburg and Sydney – in all of which he has usually had a glass of wine in his hand.
A former sports writer and foreign correspondent, he writes about his greatest passions; food, wine and travel and is most likely to be found where there’s a cellar door and good restaurant.
Winsor recently moved from Sydney to Cygnet in Tasmania and writes for The Sun-Herald and a number of magazines and websites, including OUTthere, Reader’s Digest, Travel & Living, Lexus, Luxury Travel, Winestate, Selector, www.visitvineyards.com and Australian Golf magazine.
