Set along the banks of the River Torrens in the heart of Adelaide, the BankSA Feast for the Senses presented by LifeStyle FOOD Channel was the largest public event of the Tasting Australia program. The two-day FREE feast brought together the finest tastes from around South Australia and Australia, along with stage entertainment, cookery demonstrations and a range of hands-on activities for those young and up-coming cooks. Visitors sampled great South Australian food and wine from more than 90 exhibitors, attended book signings at Mary Martin, the official bookstore of Tasting Australia, watched the San Remo Regatta and took part in the wide range of events including;

IGA Kids in the Kitchen

Children took part in hands-on cooking classes with celebrity chefs and learnt about the principles of simple and delicious food preparation from their icons while preparing some great dishes. Click here for more information.

Word of Mouth was a two-day celebration of the spoken and written word in food and wine-related matters, including debates and a chance to meet and learn more about some of the people who help shape the way we eat and drink. Click here for more information.
San Remo Pasta Challenge
Sunday 2 May
A new initiative of Tasting Australia, the San Remo Pasta Challenge put teams of two up against one another in a lively cookery challenge. Teams battled it out on stage to prepare the best pasta recipe for judges Antonio Carluccio, Dorinda Hafner and Adam Swanson. The San Remo stage was hosted by Michael Angelakis and Michael Keelan.
